Regency sewing
When wearing Regency clothing the dresses truly do look better when wearing proper underthings. So I spent much of Spring Break sewing a two corsets, pantalettes, chemise, and 3 petticoats. I also made three dresses and the week before the picnic I was able to make hats!
The girls were in dresses made from the same bolt of cloth. (a very period thing) I agonized over my dress, but that's for another post.
I used Sense & Sensibility's Elegant Lady's Closet pattern for the girl's dresses and the basis for mine (also the bodice for the petticoats).
